Working Up a Sweat....

Working out at home is probably the only cool thing about being home alone for a week (the beau is out of town on business).  I love moving all of the furniture to one side of the living room and pulling out my yoga mat for a mini workout session.  In this photo I am working on my push-up.  Back in the day, I could bang out 50 plus push-ups in a row BUT times have really changed.  I am working hard to be able to lift my own body weight again.  Pull-ups, dips, and push-ups are my main focus right now.  If you look closely you can see my new highlights.  I would love to go Beyonce Blonde for the summer, but I don't want to damage my hair. What do you think, light or dark?

This is totally off topic, but I have been thinking a lot about taking more risks and doing more things outside of my comfort zone.  I am totally one those people who always plays it safe in life.  I usually shy away from things if the end result is uncertain. For example, I have a ton of awesome business ideas but I have yet to try any of them because I am afraid that the end result won't be good. I would love to make a career out of my hobbies, but  it's almost like the uncertainty has hindered me from even trying. This is truly something that I want to change in my life, but I'm struggling because I don't know where to start.  I guess I need to learn that it's okay to fail.

Would you consider yourself a risk-taker?

Nope, I am exactly like you. It is also hard for me to finish thru projects - attention span is very short.

Congrats on embracing at home workouts, thats all I do ever since I cancelled my gym membership. I feel like they are empowering, like YOU pushed yourself 100% to transform your body and didn't need the motivation of the gym to get you there. It's okay to fail, the next path you take will just be more motiviating.

XO,
Ash

YES, I would consider myself to be a risk taker and good for you for wanting to take one. Whats life without a little adventure EVEN if you fail!

Great inspo :) Regarding your hair, it looks great, I love the light/highlight look but my hair gets reaallyy bleached on its own in the summer. a tip if you want it a lot lighter for the summer, now that you have highlights, start to bleach your hair naturally by using honey mixed with oil before you wash your hair, and let it sit for a while (it really works). other natural hair bleacher are cinnamon, chamomile & lemon :) Will be writing a post on this soon xx

I'm not a risk taker at all. Good thing I married someone who is because I've already done things that I never would have done had it not been for him.

I think you would look fabulous with Beyonce's hair color.

I'm definitely in the same boat as far as risk taking is concerned. I've been told and asked 1000x why I'm not a personal trainer because of my enthusiam for health and fitness. Answer: I don't know what is holding me back. Fear? Probably. Your hair looks great by the way.

I have a roommate who is allergic to exercise to I never workout at home for some reason I feel uncomfortable doing it around her. But when she's away!!! The living room becomes my gym and I love it!

As for taking risks, do it! That's what this year is all about for me, getting out of my comfort zone and living life.
