DMB Concert

  About a week ago I went to a Dave Matthews Concert and it was AMAZING. I hula hooped with this unique hippie gal, sang ( felt a little out of place bc I only knew three songs), and danced barefoot.   It was my first DMB experience but definitely not my last.

We arrived at the venue about 3 hours before the concert started to tailgate.  We ate hot dogs, drank beer (jinfitness took a day off lol), listened to loud music, braided hair, and mingled with all the other concert goers.

Sish Kabobs

I went to the farmer's with my favorite gal pal Saturday.  I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that this was my first time going since living on my own (i.e. not with my parents).  Everything was so freaking cheap and fresh.  I left with three large bags of fruit& veggies and only spent $24!!!!  Talk about a bargain. I can't believe that I haven't been supporting my local farmers (sorry guys).
 Now, I did go a little overboard and purchased way too may things. I refuse to waste food so I've been eating veggies and fruit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  I guess I forgot that the Farmer's Market is open three days a week.  If you are in CLT and like veggies holler at me!

I decided to make Sish Kabobs mostly because I get a kick out of saying  Sish or Kabobs...bahaha. don't  you dare judge my sense of humor!  these little guys were extremely easy to make and were really filling.  I put all the fixings together and the Mr. put them on the grill for me.  It's nice having someone who knows how to grill because me and fire don't mix!

Ingredients:  Zucchini, bell pepper, red pepper, cherry tomatoes, yellow onion, and CHICKEN
I brushed on olive oil & crushed garlic. Lastly, I sprinkled on Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute.
The Mr. grilled the Kabobs (bahahaha) for about 15 minutes!

Hi There.

I hope that all of you had a great week?!  I'm super stoked that tomorrow is Friday, yippy.
I've been working out like crazy these past few weeks trying to get bathing suit ready (for health reasons too BUT bathing suit season is on the top of my list).  My two girlfriends joined my gym and it's been great having company while I workout. Also, It feels good having someone there to hold me accountable.
Oh, I started the second book in the Fifty Shades Of Grey series and I can honestly say that I'm tired of them having sex already. At first it was cool and interesting but now I'm just sick of reading it.  Weirdest thing is that my MOM asked me last weekend if I had read the book...after reading it I'm embarrassed that she even asked me.  Mom's shouldn't read books like this, ha.  Anyhow, if you have read the book I would love to hear your thoughts.

I'll write more later but just wanted to stop by to say Hello.....I promise that I won't stay gone too long!

Brussels are Delicious.

Brussels Sprouts are delicious and are becoming my new favorite snack.  I remember not liking them when I was younger but I recently tried them at a dinner party and since then I've been hooked.  I boil  them in chicken broth with a pinch of salt & pepper....I like them crunchy (al dente), so I only boil them for a few minutes.
I researched Brussels Sprouts and they are also extremely healthy.  I was stoked to learn that they are high in protein (muscles like protein), dietary fiber, and antioxidants.

Do you like brussels sprouts?  if so, what is your favorite recipe?

Polka Dots

Here is a typical work outfit.
I love this skirt!

This past week was cray and I apologize for being slack.  I have a ton of pictures that I want to share with you guys but now that Picnik's closed I'm screwed. I have Photo shop but I get a headache every time that I try to use it.  I've tried Google+ but  it's not the same.  If you know of any other editing sites please let me know. Help a sista out!

Learn to Laugh

{bracelets: Body Central, Nails: Ulta Brand nail polish, Mug: Marshalls}

I love to laugh.  I have a really weird sense of humor and sometimes
I laugh at inappropriate times.  I've been known to laugh at weddings, in church,
funerals, and work meetings.  It's a bad habit that I can't seem to stop.
Am I the only one with this problem?
By the way this is my favorite tea mug.

Spaghetti in Garlic Gravy with Herbs and Lemon Marinated Chicken and Cherry Tomatoes

I found this recipe on here Pinterest and immediately knew that I had to give it a try. I followed the instructions to a T and even figured out how to "zest" a lemon (thanks to Google). Something about using fresh ingredients always makes me feel important,  sort of like Paula Dean or a big time chef.  This recipe was extremely easy to make and only took about 35min to prepare.  Bri dog and the Mr. enjoyed it too.  A way to mans heart is definitely through his belly.

{Trader Joe's fresh herbs are super cheap, so I suggest that you buy them there..that's if you don't have a garden}

{I sliced my cherry tomatoes instead of leaving them whole}

I think that this dish was fairly healthy. Next time I think that I will add whole wheat noodles.

  What is your favorite kind of pasta?
