Fun Friday!

                                                   Friday, what took you so long to get here? 


I am sporting my 'I like RV' shirt.  Normally I'm against wearing company attire but I just didn't give a fluff about my appearance today.  My main objective when getting ready this morning was to find something comfortable that wasn't too wrinkled. 
Today after work we are driving a couple towns away to visit my parents.  I'm looking forward to chowing down on a home cooked meal (my mom is an amazing cook).  What do YOU have planned this weekend?

Art, Tapas, and Goodbyes......

Yesterday night was sad and fun at the same time.  Our good friend E is moving to Philly on Thursday so we all got together for one last hoorah.  We started the night out at the art museum and ended it at this cool little  tapas restaurant tucked inside of a hipster part of town.  The museum was great, they had a Coco Chanel exhibit and tons of other fun stuff.  I hate goodbye's but I'm sure that all three of us will meet up again.

I don't run unless i'm being chased......

so I started running again and lets just say that my little thirty minutes on the treadmill was brutal  (I was breathing like a smoker and sweating like a pig). I'm going to try it again tomorrow but hopefully this time I can hang in there a while longer.  The hardest part for me is getting into the groove, like all I think about  is stopping.  Running is just so boring to me, but I know that it's good for my waistline and my heart.  Let me clarify, I LIKE doing sprints but I strongly dislike long distance running.

Hey Y'all!! I hope that everyone is having a great day. My day is going well so far. I had two glasses of Merlot before bed and slept like a baby. It's been a while since I've had a good sleep. My goal is to get more sleep.  

                                  On average  how many hours a night do you sleep?

Buffalo Wings

This weekend I made homemade buffalo wings and cesar salad with low-fat dressing.  I'm not trying to boast, but my wings were AMAZING!!!

 I prefer college football, but I will never pass up a chance to tailgate...I love getting pumped up, celebrating my favorite team, playing cornhole, and drinking chilled beer :-)

I decided to play around with my tripod today before the gym.....I'll post another picture in a few weeks when I start my cardio sessions again  aka after I get my abs back. 

Jin's Chicken Fried Rice....

Last night I made my version of chicken fried rice and it was muy delicioso!  Cj helped himself to two large servings!   I'm trying to broaden my horizon and this was my first step outside of the box. 

I'm really starting to really enjoy cooking and learning new recipes.  The Food Networks 30 minute Meals is my fav,  anything longer than 30 minutes is just not for me.

Ingredients:

hormone free chicken breast (shout out to Trader Joe's)
Brown rice
Soy Sauce (with the green top aka low sodium)
I Can't believe it's Not Butter
EVOO
Teriyaki Sauce
a Garlic Clove
Carrots
Snap Peas
Asparagus ( asparagus pee is the worst!!!!)
Red & yellow peppers

Hi All!!  I hope that everyone is having a good week......  I LOVE short work weeks and long weekends,  that's why I need to own my own business so that I can make my work schedule.  Sitting in a cubical all day is just not me.
Moving on, I've already made plans for the weekend.  I plan to workout (sprints on the track), paint, and to take my dog to the park.  I'm  really looking forward to enjoying this awesome weather.  I drove to work today with my windows down and no AC.......it was awesome to the breathe in fresh, non- humid air *ahhhhhhh****

Cool Pillow....I would not pay $89 for it but I DO think that its motivating.  Sometimes we all need alittle something to remind us to get off our butts and workout!

My Weekend At a Glance

ahhhh....It was so nice to have a 3 day weekend....I really needed the extra day to kick back and relax.  I did lots of exciting things this weekend but as usual I forgot to pack my camera (sorry).  One thing I can say is that I'm never drinking vodka shots ever again (bible). 

spent some time at the bookstore.....why buy magazines when you can read them for FREE?? (kidding).

I cooked my famous chicken Pasta!!  Excuse my plate and mismatched Silver....I'm still using my college dishes..I will upgrade one day :-)

Happy Labor Day Weekend Dolls! I'm so excited about having a 3-day weekend! I'm also excited that Fall is quickly approaching..soon I'll be able to run outside without threats of dying from a heat stroke, and I'll be able wear boots and blazers.  I'm not happy about not being able to wear my white pants though, but I'll live, lol.
This weekend we are hosting a tailgate fiesta in our courtyard in honor of the South Carolina game AND we are going to my parents house for an end of summer barbecue.  What do you have planned this weekend?
