My Weekend at a Glance

On Friday I went to a wine bar with Jessica. We drank and talked until the wee hours of the night. Someone spilt beer on me and I found a hair (that wasn't mine or Jessica's) in my grilled chicken flat bread, but I still managed to have a great time. My friends are so funny and interesting that it's hard not to have a good time when you are around them. I packed my camera but forgot to take pictures because I was having such a fun night.
Saturday was bitter sweet because it was the night of our good friend Chris' going away party. He is such a fun guy and we will miss him deeply, but we are so happy that he's moving to San Fransisco because we know that he will accomplish great things.

Sunday I conquered the huge mound of laundry in my room and did some much needed grocery shopping. I spent the rest of the night relaxing
Oh, I also purchased my first SLR camera, a Canon Rebel AND purchased tickets to see Ron Pope & Jon McLaughlin in concert. As you can see I had a fun/sunny weekend! How you did you dolls spend your weekend?

Mantra Meditation


This morning I had a little extra time so I figured that I would start the day off right by taking some time to meditate. Meditation is still very new to me but so far I love it! I am a firm believer in the power of positive thought or positive affirmations. Today, the Mantra that I repeated over and over again was "I am strong, I can accomplish anything that I put my mind (or heart) to"


What is Mantra Meditation?
Mantra is a word or phrase that you repeat to yourself again and again for
a specific effect. We could replace the word mantra with ‘positive affirmation’ and it would have the same meaning. Although positive affirmations can be powerful, mantra repetition for spiritual purposes often entails repetition of God’s name. Many people use this as a form of waking meditation, since it’s easy to repeat a mantra to yourself either verbally or mentally throughout your day, and despite what’s going on around you.

My Weekend At A Glance

Hello! I know it's been a while but I've been a bit under the weather..meh! I've been trying to kick this nasty cold for about four weeks now. I was so fed up with being sick that I finally went to the doctor today. The first thing she asked was why I hadn't come in sooner...haha. Honestly I hate going to the doctor and it's always a hassal taking time off from work. This cold seriously has a mind of its own, it just comes and goes as it pleases. Generally it likes to rear it's ugly head when i have major plans or events to tend to. This weekend I was sick as a dog (I'm not sure how this saying makes sense...) but I was determined not to let this cold ruin my weekend. Here are a few pictures from Saturday....







P.S.- It's always a bad idea to go out partying/ drinking when you are sick.


Health Tip: Do not mix alcohol and cold medication..the results can be very dangerous.

Hello Dolls! On Saturday it poured all day, but I still had a good time. I spent the day hanging with a new friend (pictured above) and also got to catch with some old friends that were in town for the weekend. How was your weekend?

Graffiti 6 and More SCARFS!!!


Did I mention that I LOVE scarfs?! I own like 20 of them. A simple scarf can dress anything up...just look at Cassie above, she's wearing a ponytail, an over sized t-shirt and looks like a million bucks!
I'm popping Biotin (the vitamin) left and right hoping that my hair will grow out to look like Marsha Ambrosius'....I swear that my hair grows so slow and it's annoying.
I recently discovered Graffiti 6 and I love them!
How are you guys spending this lovely Sunday? I've been relaxing ALL day and I feel so refreshed.

Vitamin b12 vs. The Hangover



Happy Saturday Morning Dolls! Last night I went to a chic little hippie bar with two of my favorite couples. The night was filled with good conversation, good music, laughter, and LOTS of delicious wine. For some reason when I drink a lot the night before I am wide awake at the crack of dawn the next morning.....does this ever happen to you? why can't I sleep in?
I'm proud to say that although I caught a gnarly buzz last night, I am headache free and full of energy this morning. I credit not having a hangover to all of the B12 that I took last night before bed, it works like a charm everytime!

so you ask, What CAUSES a Hangover?

One option we have used is taking some Vitamin B12 before going to bed to help relieve some of the sluggish symptoms of a Vitamin B12 deficiency from the alcohol metabolism process.

Happy Hump Day!!!


I got a new scarf AND Straightened my hair! I got this gorgeous scraf at Ivy &Leo yesterday and I purchased a new flat iron!!! I love my hair straight but I'm worried about heat damage so I'll probably be back to my normal curly head self come Friday. I hope you dolls had a superfantastic Day!

P.s.- do yourself a favor and try to drink at least 40 Ounces of water tomorrow...your body will thank you!

and I'm Feeling Good....


I had a fantastic day today! After work my friend Jessica and I met up for a Deep Stretch Yoga class. Yoga was amazing and my hips and shoulders feel so free and loose. Madeleine, our instructor was from New Zealand and she rocked....she stretched my limbs to the max, I literally felt like my crotch was going to pop off at one point during the class.

I am determined to learn how to do side splits (I'll accomplish it in about a month or two)...Madeleine made it look so freakin' easy, I swear that girl is double jointed. Thank Gawd for yoga blocks because I sure did need like 4 of them.
After yoga Jessica and I headed next door for ginger salads and yummy sushi. It was great to catch up with her. I finished off the night with American Idol and Teen Mom (don't judge me, LOL). How was your day? Was is it happy?
