New Facial Scrub


I just purchased this scrub today and I am in love! I've only used it once and my skin is so soft, bright and radiant. I can tell a huge difference in my skin in just one use. I recently started taking biotin and fish oil vitamins so my skin has been super moist compared to normal. On top of taking new vitamins I've increased my cardio, so I have been experiencing a few breakouts and blemishes (increase in perspiration + increase in moisture= breakouts). I'm hoping that this new skin care line (I also purchased the perfect world moisturizer and face wash) will help to balance out my skin.

Nike Dri-FIT Dedication Sports Bra

Nike sports bras are my absolute favorite! I have one in almost every color. If running is your "thang" these bras are fabulous because they are comfortable and they hold everything in place. Also, unlike other sports bras they are made out of dri-fit material which absorbs sweat and helps keep you dry. I recommend ordering a size smaller than usual because they run large.

Supplements

For the past few weeks I've been lacking energy which is really unusual for me because I'm naturally a high energy person. Due to my lack of energy I've missed a few workouts because I just can't pull myself out of bed in the morning ( normally I sleep a maximum of 7 hours a night, lately I've been sleeping 9 plus hours). I went to the doctor and she said that I had low levels of vitamin D, iron, and B-12. This is all a shock to me because I take a multivitamin daily. Dr. Kim prescribed some medicine for me and I'm slowly starting to gain my energy back. I'm so happy to have energy and I can't wait to use it in the gym.

Row, Row, Row Your Boat




I found this article in the March/April issue of Muscle& Fitness Hers about rowing for cardio. I was so impressed with the article that this morning while I was at the gym I decided to give rowing a try. With in the first 10 minutes of my cardio workout I burned 100 calories (my heart rate monitor helped me keep track of the exact amount of calories burned). Naturally I don't sweat much, but within minutes of rowing my entire body was drenched in sweat.
Rowing utilizes your upper and lower body which helps to burn more calories. According to the article you can burn up to 606 calories per hour. If you have access to a rowing machine at your gym give it a try and let me know what you think!

New Shoes



This past weekend I purchased new running shoes at Dick's Sporting Goods. I think that people are sleeping on Dick's because I always find the best deals there. My new kicks were only $59.99. Normally I only wear Nike's but my new Saucony's are far more comfortable than any Nike shoe that I've ever owned. The cushioning is unbelievable and the arches of my foot are fully supported. I am in love with these shoes, and the beautiful pink color is the icing on the cake.

I have never been a runnner but the past couple weeks I've been running! I'm pretty excited about running 2.5 miles without stopping because I've never been successful at running long distances. The problem is that I just get bored out of my mind. I've got an iPod loaded with music, but I just can't seem to get my mind off of how absurdly bored I get. To cure my boredum, I make a list of specific topics that I want to think about while I run, like what am I going to wear that day or what I need from the grocery store etc. Silly topics like that have worked to keep me motivated and on my toes.

Model for A Day



Just recently I had the opportunity to be photographed by one of the best photographers in NC. I never realized how hard it is to model. You definitely have to be aware of your body. I've been studying my pictures & fashion magazines and I can't wait to shoot again! I've also started to increase the intensity of my workouts and can't wait to see the results in print.
